Jimmie Thomas Pruitt, age 84 of the Berlin Community, died Tuesday, November 21, 2017 in NHC Oakwood Healthcare.

Mr. Pruitt was a native of Marshall County, Tennessee born June 24, 1933 son of Ross and Bessie Jo Beatty Pruitt.  He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.  He was the former owner of Pruitt Salvage and lifelong farmer, former member of the Marshall County Board of Education, former member of the Berlin Fire Department, and member of the Lewisburg First United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Tommie Pruitt.  He is survived by his wife, Nancy Allen Pruitt of Berlin, son, Jimmie "Butch" Pruitt of Berlin, daughter, Rhonda (Rusty) Poole of Berlin, Angie Phifer of Lewisburg, sister, Betty Raymond of Bunker Hill Community.

Funeral services will be conducted by Mark Irvin Sunday, November 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of London Funeral Home with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Doug Williams, Terry Dunnivant, Chris Carlough, John Cook, Phillip Allen, and John David Pierce.

The family will be at London Funeral Home Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour for visitation.

In lieu of flowers, family request donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church Choir 325 W. Church St. Lewisburg, Tennessee 37091

London Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
