About London

Gaston London and C.F. Minturn opened the doors of London Funeral Home and Crematory on October 7, 1937. Huston (Friday) Higdon, who eventually became a co-owner, joined the firm on September 1, 1940. Aubrey D. Duncan, who became one of the three owners in 1964, joined the business on August 19, 1959. In October of 1985, Mr. Duncan became the sole owner of London Funeral Home and Crematory and Cornersville Funeral Home. On September 19, 2010, Mr. Duncan sold the funeral homes to Greg Hardison and Adam Perryman. The lovely Victorian home, presently London Funeral Home, was originally built by John A. Marshall. Today you come into our building from a spacious parking area by a sloping ramp giving everyone easy access whether walking, aided by a walker or in a wheel chair. Our visitation rooms and arrangement offices are spacious and can accommodate families of any size. Our chapel has just been extended and will seat two hundred people with a private family area that will seat thirty with an expanded area for extra seating. Our sound system and music selection is geared to your preference whether for visitation or funeral service. The lounge area is large and will accommodate several families with each having their own private space and is furnished with coffee urns, paper plates, cups, napkins and etc., as well as a drink machine for your convenience. Our selection room is displayed with caskets, vault area, urns and clothing presented in such a way that families might make their selections easily with less stress. Our preparation room is a very modern, well-equipped area where the greatest of care and respect is given to our families loved ones by our embalmers.
