Alice was such a sweet soul. We have lived and raised two boys across the street for the last 10 years, and have grown extra fond of the Higgins in the last few years as we have gotten to know them better. Alice’s bright blue eyes, quick smile, and witty humor were a breath of fresh air. We will miss her dearly, and we hold each of her loved ones in our fervent prayers through this difficult time.

Dear Tommy,Gene, and Family. I was blessed to be able to call Mrs Alice a close friend and the best neighbor you could ever ask for and be around. I loved our conversations and laughs as she would always have something funny to say and her personality was the best. I can still remember the first conversation I had with Mrs Alice and how from that time on she was truly someone that I cherished. From my family to yours we are praying for you all and will always remember Mrs Alice for the sweet, loving, and wonderful person she was to us the Duke family.

Dear Tommy, Betsy Gene Douglas and all the Leonard family.

Allice was my best friend from age 5 til 18. We lived across the street from one another and saw each other every day, double dated, played basketball, planted a flower garden and generally loved life. When she moved to Florida I lost her. I have a picture of her and Dennis at my wedding but that was the last time I saw her. I can't take in this news. Stunning loss for all the Browns Roger Lus Elizabeth and me. Please know we are all thinking of you and send our condolences. Please let me know how I can help. Love, Mary Jane
