Obituary for Amelia Irene Pettes (Stallings)
Amelia Irene Pettes, age 81, of Cornersville, Tennessee, died Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at Maury County Regional Health Center.
She was a native of Giles County, the daughter of the late George Stallings and Harriette Hoge Stallings. She was a homemaker and, prior to retirement, worked as a loan officer assistant at Farmer's Bank. She was a member of Robertson Fork Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mary Ann Hickman.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Wayne Pettes; two daughters, Beverly (Scott) Evans of Tullahoma, and Becky (Ken) Lee of Cornersville; one son, Lee Wayne (Christy) Pettes of Lynnville; grandchildren, Lee Wayne Pettes II, Amelia Joy Penland, Jessica Evans, Katherine Dill, and Bobby Wayne Lee; great grandchildren, Octavia Lynn Penland, Davis Dill, and Emmy Mae Dill.
Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2023, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. at Cornersville Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023, at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Cornersville Funeral Home, 310 North Main St., Cornersville, TN 37047, with burial to follow in Lynnwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
