Barry Layne Johnson, age 70, of Lewisburg, died Sunday, April 26th, 2020 at St. Thomas - Midtown.

He was a native of Marshall County, the son of the late Leslie B. Johnson and Dora Lou Tate Johnson. He was a plumber/pipe fitter and a member of the Local 572. He served as president of the local union for twenty-seven years. Mr. Johnson was a member of the Marshall County Shriners and Marshall County Masons - Dillahunty Lodge.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Ronnie Johnson, Larry Johnson, Phillip Johnson, a nephew, Timothy Johnson and a dog, Motley.

He is survived by his wife, Bobbie June Stinnett Johnson, children, Barrettea (Johnson) Price, Emiley Johnson, Issac Johnson, Rod (Gale) Darnell, Richard Darnell, Randy Darnell, Dana (Buck) Ward, Cassie (Mark) Hobby, one brother, William "Bill" Johnson, eighteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild along with his best friend, his dog, Blue.

Graveside Service will be conducted on Sunday, May 3rd, 2020 at 3:00 pm from Lone Oak Cemetery with burial to follow.
