Obituary for Bessie Mae Brown
Bessie Mae Brown, age 90, of Lewisburg, died Wednesday, January 12th, 2022 at Maury County Regional Health Center.
She was a native of Marshall County, the daughter of the late Johnny Chilton and Georgia Brewer Chilton. She retired from housekeeping at Leonard's Hospital and was a member of the Farmington Methodist Church. She was "one tough lady" and she had a great love of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, James Austin and Jeff Brown, son, Jerry Brown, son in law, Billy Joe Keel, granddaughter, Vicki Cozart, grandson, Andy Brown, great grandson Jacob Talley, two sisters, Mary Ruth Brown and Annie Lou Davis, three brothers, Thomas Chilton, James Chilton, and Johnny Chilton, Jr. She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Keel of Lewisburg, Judy (Danny) Tate of Lewisburg, grandchildren, Lisa (Victor) Raymond, Jim (Niki) Cozart, Barry (Angie) Cozart, Ryan (Kelly) Walker, Emily (Daniel) Talley, Robert (Bridgett) Davis, Chrystal Williams, 12 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and one on the way and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be conducted on Saturday, January 15th, 2022 at 11:00 am from the Chapel of London Funeral Home 324 West Church Street Lewisburg, Tennessee 37091 with burial to follow in Short Cemetery.
The family will be at the funeral home for visitation on Friday, January 14th, 2022 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and will continue on Saturday, January 15th, 2022 until the funeral hour.
London Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangements.
