Obituary for Douglas Lewis Summey Sr.

Douglas Lewis Summey, age 85, of Belfast, died Friday, January 21st, 2022 at St. Thomas Midtown in Nashville.

He was a native of Acworth, Georgia, the son of the late Lewis Summey and Willie Ruth Ingram Summey. He was the owner and founder of 4 Corner Mobile Home Trailer Park in Belfast. He had a special love for his children, step children, and grandchildren. He also loved Tennesse Walking Horses and trucks, especially his new Dodge Ram.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death his by sister, Lorene Webster, grandson, Timothy Glen Teeples and infant son, Thomas James Summey. He is survived by his wife, Sandra McGill Teeples Summey of Belfast, one son, Douglas Summey, Jr. of Dallas, GA, daughter, Linda (Lester) Bragg of Acworth, GA, four step children, Tony (Anieca) Teeples of Bowling Green, KY, Karyl (Barry) Nolley of Pulaski, TN, Ronald ( Lisa) Teeples of Petersburg, and Leslie Sanders of Belfast, one sister, Willie Lois Franklin of Acworth, GA, twelve grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, special friend, Roger Medley of Belfast, numerous nieces and nephews, and countless friends.

Graveside Service will be conducted on Sunday, January 23rd, 2022 at 2:00 pm in Head Springs Cemetery with burial to follow.

Visitation with the family will begin on Sunday, January 23rd, 2022 in Head Springs Cemetery from 1:00 pm until the service hour.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Red Cross Tornado Relief for Bowling Green, KY and St Jude Children Hospital.
