Obituary for Eddie Sue James (Philpot)
Eddie Sue James, age 89, of Lewisburg, died Saturday, July 11th, 2020 at Maury Regional.
She was a native of Lawrence County, the daughter of the late Lucis Otis and Bertha Mae Howser Philpot. She retired from Walmart, was previously employed with Genesco, and a member of the Westvue Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John "Abe" James, daughter, Laurri Mae James, brothers, Thomas, Ralph, and Jerry Philpot.
She is survived by one daughter, Vickie James of Antioch, one son, Ricky James of Chapel Hill, and a sister, Pat Dunkles of LaVergne. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, July 14th, 2020 at 11:00 am at Lone Oak Cemetery Lewisburg, Tennessee 37091 with burial to follow.
Visitation with the family will begin on Monday, July 13th, 2020 from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm and will continue on Tuesday, July 14th, 2020 until the funeral hour.
