Obituary for Iva "Sandy" Wassermann (Sanders)
Iva Sanders (Sandy) Wassermann, age 89, of Lewisburg, TN, died Thursday, February 2, 2023, at her home.
She was a native of Little Rock, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Harvey Sanders and Ethel White Sanders. She was a supervisor at Teledyne for many years. She was a devoted Christian and had an in-depth knowledge of the Bible.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Wassermann; six brothers, Claude, Roy, Harvey Jr., Gene, Donald Glenn, and Ralph Sanders.
She is survived by two sons, John Christopher (Kimberly Ann) Wassermann and David Daniel (Kimberly Diane) Wassermann both of Lewisburg, TN; one sister, Ruby Baker of Murphysboro, IL; granddaughter, Lauren (Morgan) Abrigo; great grandchildren, Lincoln and Shepherd Abrigo; step grandchild, Ryan Derryberry; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be conducted on Sunday, February 5, 2023, at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of London Funeral Home, 324 West Church Street, Lewisburg, Tennessee 37091, with burial to follow in Short Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, February 4, 2023, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and on Sunday, February 5, 2023, at 1:00 pm until the funeral hour.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Wounded Warriors, or the Marshall County Animal Shelter.
