James Ray Bennett, age 77, of Lewisburg, died Sunday, January 12th, 2020 at Maury Regional.

He was a native of Rosedale, Mississippi, the son of the late James Bennett and Lena Coats Dyer. He was self-employed and was a member of the Farmington Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Steve Bennett and a brother, Tracie Lee Bennett.
He is survived by his wife, Delana Stone Bennett, daughter, Ashley Bennett Johnson of Belfast, son, Ricky Bennett of Atlanta, Georgia, a sister Sybil Bennett Sanders of Lewisburg, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 15th, 2020 at 11:00 am from the Chapel of London Funeral Home 324 West Church Street Lewisburg, Tennessee 37091 with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will begin on Tuesday, January 14th, 2020 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and will continue on Wednesday, January 15th, 2020 until the funeral hour.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Jude's Children's Hospital.
