Obituary for Larry Joe Casteel
Larry Joe Casteel, age 69, of Lewisburg, died Tuesday, February 2nd, 2021 at his residence.
He was a native of Welch, West Virginia, the son of the late Auburn P. Sr. and Zenna Gwaltney Casteel. He was a retired Security Guard and served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Auburn Casteel, Jr., Earl Casteel, and Jimmy Casteel, and six sisters, Thelma Winters, Martha "Lois" Beavers, Betty Smith, Virginia Asbury, Maxine Blackwell, and Wanda Testerman.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Mary Nester Casteel, four daughters, Christina Garcia of South Bend, IN, Tamara (Jason) Shovelton of Wendell, NC, Melissa Burns, and Karilee Burns, both of Pulaski, one son, Donald (Alicia) Burns of Smithfield, RI, one sister, Margaret Kitts of Elkton, MD, and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a family memorial service at a later date.
London Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangements.
