Obituary for Margaret Dunaway (Hobbs)
Margaret Dunaway, age 99, of Lewisburg, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 3, 2021, at her home surrounded by family.
She was a native of Giles County, born April 10, 1921 to the late Roy and Malor George Hobbs. Margaret loved spending time with her family and friends and she was a long time employee and retiree of Genesco. She was a faithful believer, and involved member of the First Baptist Church of Lewisburg , where she enjoyed fellowship and friendships in the ladies Sunday school class.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Price Dunaway, daughter, Imogene Street, and son, Dwight Dunaway, one brother, Cecil Hobbs, and sisters, Lorene Park and Lillian Hobbs.
She is survived by one son, Larry Dunaway of Town Creek, AL, daughters, Sandra Woodard of Lewisburg, and Connie (Bob) Prosser of Mt. Juliet, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Due to Covid safety guidelines, private family graveside services will be conducted later with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital and Samaritan's Purse.
London Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangements.
