Obituary for Robert Alton Thompson Jr.
Robert Alton "Bobby" Thompson Jr., age 76, of Lewisburg, died Friday, December 3rd, 2021 at NHC Lewisburg.
He was a native of Lincoln County, the son of the late Robert Alton Sr. and Mildred Cantrell Thompson. He was a self employed Heavy Machinery Operator and a member of the Lord's House of Prayer. He served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War where he received the Purple Heart.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Joan Malone Thompson and brother, Billy Thompson.
He is survived by one daughter, Rhonda (Brian) Rose of Bluffton, SC, and a son, Andy Thompson of Dallas, Pennsylvania, and four grandchildren, Caroline, Emma and William Rose and Carter Thompson.
Graveside services with military honors will be conducted on Sunday, December 5th, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Lone Oak Cemetery Lewisburg, Tennessee 37091 with burial to follow.
There will be no public visitation.
