Obituary for William Roy Adkins Jr.
William Roy Adkins Jr., age 76, of Lewisburg, died Friday, May 22nd, 2020 at Maury Regional Hospital.
He was a native of Marshall County, the son of the late William Roy Sr. and Katherin Fisher Adkins. He served the City of Lewisburg as a Fireman acquiring the rank of Captain. He served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War, and was a member of the Belfast Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Adkins, and a sister, Nancy Barrom.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Williams Adkins, daughter, Denise Hamilton, Sherry Tipper , Kimberly (Michael) Turner, and a sister, Kay (Delano) Burrow, all of Lewisburg. Eight grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren and his special dog, Buddy, also survive.
Pallbearers are Michael Turner, Jack Freeland, John Fishburn, James Tipper II, Nicholas Tipper and Jordan Turner.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 27th, 2020 at 1:00 pm from the Chapel of London Funeral Home, 324 West Church Street, Lewisburg, Tennessee 37091 with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will begin on Tuesday, May 26th, 2020 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and will continue on Wednesday, May 27th, 2020 until the funeral hour.
