William "Joey" Current, age 59, of Culleoka, died Sunday, October 13th, 2019 at Vanderbilt Medical Center.

He was a native of Charlotte, North Carolina, the son of the late Frank and Barbara Putnam Current. He was a Chemical Operator for Spontex and a member of the Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sabrina Richardson Current of Culleoka, son, Dwight and Ashley Moore of Columbia, two granddaughters, Savannah and Chloe Moore of Columbia, sister, Frankie (Steve) Cashion of Smyrna, several nieces and nephews, and all of his fur babies. Joey loved his family, nature, and all animals. He was always taking in strays. He loved sports as an Alabama fan, but would occasionally wear a Vols shirt because it made his wife happy. He was a kind, generous soul who always put others first. He will be deeply missed.

Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, October 18th, 2019 at 1:00 pm from Friendship Cemetery with burial to follow.
