Obituary for William "Rusty" Gattis
William Russell "Rusty" Gattis, age 79, of Petersburg, died Sunday, August 28th, 2022 at Vanderbilt Bedford Hospital.
He was a native of Petersburg, the son of the late John Ernest and Helen Collins Gattis. He was a Farmer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Doyle K. Gattis, and Johnny Gattis.
He is survived by one daughter, Vickie (Kenny) Hargrove of Petersburg, four sisters, Neva Thorpe of Murfreesboro, Judy Martin of Murfreesboro, Carolyn Osborne of Lewisburg, and Rita Moore of Lewisburg, sister in law, Wilma Gattis, two grandchildren, Kazz (Brianna) Hargrove, and Kody Hargrove, great grandchildren, Milo and Huck and Raylee, several special nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 31st, 2022 at 10:00 am from the Chapel of London Funeral Home 324 West Church Street Lewisburg, Tennessee 37091 with burial to follow in Old Orchard Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will begin on Tuesday, August 30th, 2022 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and will continue on Wednesday, August 31st, 2022 until the funeral hour.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.
London Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangements.
